photography:

Although photography has always taken a backseat to my design work, it is a hobby that I have learned to advance and attempted to gradually perfect throughout my travels and life experiences, helping to give me a more universal perception of the world around me.  It has enabled me to oftentimes take a step back and obtain a greater appreciation and understanding of all happenings, however mundane or extraordinary they may at first appear.  The attention to detail and the concept of looking at things in a new light are characteristics that continuously draw me to photography, especially given the strong correlation that can be made with design.  I have found that photography, in some ways, can have the potential to be as informative, creative, and evoking as sketching, which is well-known to be a crucial aspect of architecture and design.
